Our vision is a region – and a world – where everyone has a decent place to live.
In King and Kittitas Counties, and around the world, Habitat for Humanity brings people together as volunteers, homeowners, donors, and community members to create strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Habitat International was named by Engage for Good as its “2020 Golden Halo Award” nonprofit winner, the group’s highest honor for causes that engage in activities designed to do well by doing good. In 2021 Habitat was also named “One of America’s 100 Favorite Charities*”.
In our community, Habitat for Humanity constructs affordable homes, repairs homes for income-qualified homeowners and seniors, operates discount home improvement stores in Auburn, Southcenter, Bellevue, and Ellensburg, and mobilizes nearly 4,500 volunteers a year.

What We Do
Habitat for Humanity provides a unique opportunity for hardworking families to help build and buy (or repair) their own homes.

Homeownership
Habitat creates local homeownership opportunities that allow families to realize their potential.

Critical Home Repairs
Our home repair program helps those on limited incomes keep their homes warm, safe, and dry.

Homebuilding
Homebuilding is at the heart of of our mission. We build affordable homes for hard-working families in King and Kittitas County.
Habitat has given me security in knowing my children will always have a home. A place to call Home to not only watch my children grow and succeed but also to watch my grandchildren grow. I’m forever grateful for Habitat giving me an opportunity for success in being able to raise my children on my own so they can build a future for themselves.
