Dan Strauss, Seattle Councilmember (District 6) and Reuven Carlyle, Washington State Senator (36th Legislative District) joined Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County on October 29 to celebrate the groundbreaking of a brand-new eco-friendly Habitat neighborhood – Copper Pines – in the Loyal Heights area of North Seattle. Other distinguished guests included Erika Malone, Senior Homeownership Specialist, from the City of Seattle, given the land was donated by the City as part of Mayor Durkan’s Housing Seattle Now Initiative.

Copper Pines, when completed in early 2022, will provide housing to seven deserving families. Located at 7750 28th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98117, these three-story, three-bedroom, two-bath townhomes will offer 1,200 square feet. The sustainable units are certified to Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards.
