Over 50 faith communities have participated in Interfaith Builds with Habitat SKC since 2001. Every September/October, members of diverse faith communities gather on Habitat sites to practice building a better world together.
Initiated in response to 9/11 under the name “Together We Build,” dozens of Muslim, Jewish, Christian, and other faith groups have been coming together each year, overcoming the cultural divisions that rise in the wake of violence and hatred.
Interfaith builds on Habitat’s roots in a missional, racially integrated community in the deep South. From the beginning, Habitat has built together for a better world.
Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made Interfaith Build 2019 such an amazing success! We got a ton of critical work done at our Lake City Way and Pacific, WA locations and we are so grateful for all of your help!
