Habitat’s Home Repair Program works with homeowners who need assistance with critical and minor repairs that preserve the home and alleviate health and safety issues. Habitat is seeking a Habitat’s Home Repair Program works with homeowners who need assistance with critical and minor repairs that preserve the home and alleviate health and safety issues. Habitat is seeking a Repair Site Coordinator to assist in on-site project completion for repairs in King County, working directly with Repair Site Managers, AmeriCorps members, homeowners, and volunteers to ensure a safe and productive job site.

Primary Duties And Core Responsibilities

  • With Repair Site Manager and Project Manager, ensure that projects are well-planned and executed, with attention to detail, safety, and respect.
  • Ensure appropriate materials and tools are mobilized to site safely and stored in a secure manner.
  • While project is in process, assist in communication between homeowner and project manager.
  • Provide instruction and direction to AmeriCorps members, homeowners, and volunteers on repair techniques and tasks.
  • Maintain vehicles and tools with utmost detail and regard.
  • Assist in accurate and timely project tracking and purchases for accounting purposes.
  • Actively pursue comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of residential construction techniques, methods, and applicable codes, with innovation and efficiency in mind.
  • As a representative of Habitat in the community, engage respectfully with neighbors, promoting and creating awareness of the program to potential partner families, donors, and advocates.
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings and monthly team/department/affiliate meetings.
  • Participate/assist in special projects and other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum 2 years of construction experience and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • An attitude of flexibility, sense of humor, and grace under pressure; professional disposition and respectful at all times.
  • Energy and dedication to accomplish team goals, using intentional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • A BA/BS degree in related field (preferred, but not required)
  • Certifications in the following, training to be provided by Habitat if needed:
  • Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Certification, available during Habitat training
  • OSHA 10 minimum, available during Habitat training

Physical Demands

  • Lift/carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Work at a construction site safely with exposure to outdoor weather conditions, fumes, and airborne particles and near mechanical moving parts.
  • The noise at the site may be loud, due to machinery, power tools, and construction activities.
  • This position requires the physical ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. This individual must also have the use of all senses, to include, but not limited to sight, hearing, smell, and taste while possessing the ability to stand, stop, bend, grasp, and/or hold to complete warehouse and construction site work.
  • Ability to work effectively in both office and construction site environments.
  • Ability to communicate assigned tasks or to convey information to staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to maneuver typical construction site obstacles and operate site equipment.
  • Act as Site Manager in the event of the Site Managers absence.


  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must complete OSHA 10 and First Aid training, available during Habitat training
