Habitat Young Professionals Seattle-King County (HYP) aims to build a community for young professionals to address the region’s need for affordable housing. By working with the local Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County affiliate, we strive to provide meaningful and fun volunteering, fundraising, and advocacy opportunities for our members in support of affordable housing.

Meet Our Leadership Team
Damon Tsai
President
Damon is a Mechanical Engineer Contingent Worker at Meta Reality Labs via H10 here in Seattle. Damon has been a long time HYPer and is one of our regular volunteers. Damon also currently serves on Habitat SKKC’s board of directors.
Pham Lam
Vice President
Pham Lam is a program buyer at Collins Aerospace. Pham has been involved with Habitat since 2015 and helped build over 46 homes. Pham joined HYP in 2021 after moving to the Seattle area and brings experience in volunteer engagement.

Mercedes Gamor
Recruitment/Membership Chair
Mercedes Gamor is an Assistant Project Manager for Prime Electric and is a Board Director for NAWIC Puget Sound as well as the Communications Pillar Co-lead for NAWIC’s DE&I Committee. Mercedes joins the HYP Board with experience in advocacy, event planning, and project management. She has volunteered with Habitat ABQ and Habitat SKKC over the years, and helped facilitate her company’s tool donations to the La Fortuna site.
Amy Euting
Social/Activities Chair
Amy Euting is a Project Manager on the CBRE Move Team based in Redmond. Amy has been involved with Habitat SKKC since the summer of 2021. She has enjoyed planning engaging social events with her co-chair Hannah; and has especially enjoyed seeing the HYP network grow. In her free time, Amy enjoys live music, reading, and trying to meet every dog she can.
Hannah Herman
Social/Activities Chair
Hannah Herman is a Real Estate stager working all over the Puget Sound. She has volunteered with rebuilding non-profits in both Louisiana and Georgia. New to Habitat SKC, Hannah is looking forward to digging in. She brings to HYP a background in interiors, permaculture, social media, and photography. In her free time she curates art shows through the Diaspora Gallery and eats Hello Robin cookies.
Lorraine Yerger
Volunteer Chair
Lorraine is a software engineer at Microsoft and has been on the HYP board since 2021. She loves recruiting new people to HYP Build Days, plus getting to know other regular HYP-ers. Outside of HYP she enjoys rock climbing and frisbee with her cattle dog, Frankie.
Derek Haynie
Advocacy Chair
Derek Haynie is a pilot for Delta Air Lines and joined HYP in 2021, shortly after moving to the Seattle area from Albuquerque. Along with HYP, he also volunteers as a pilot mentor at Delta. In his free time he enjoys hiking, golfing, and rooting on the Mariners.
Shree Das
General Board Member
Shree is a Design Engineer of in-space propulsion systems at Aerojet Rocketdyne. He began volunteering with Habitat in 2021 at the North Bend site. Later on, he brought his administrative experience to the HYP board as a General Member to increase engagement and turnout to HYP activities. Shree is a patron of Barnes & Noble, Ozzie’s in Queen Anne and Seattle’s concert venues.
Mitch Young
General Board Member
Mitch is a commissioning engineer at O’Brien360 and brings expertise on the built environment to his work with Habitat. He is passionate about making things, exploring the natural world, and advocating for sustainable solutions to today’s challenges.
