Habitat Young Professionals (HYP)
Why Join Habitat Young Professionals?
Habitat Young Professionals strives to build a community where young professionals are empowered as catalysts for change, driving sustainable support and community impact for Habitat SKKC. Your membership gives you access and the opportunity to provide affordable housing for individuals and families in the Puget Sound region while cultivating a strong network of future leaders. 100% of HYP membership dues and money raised through fundraising activities will be used to fund member activities including socials, events, volunteer days, and other member events with the remainder benefitting the mission of Habitat SKKC.
Volunteering
Creating and preserving affordable housing for families and individuals is the cornerstone of Habitat SKKC’s mission. HYP gives members ample opportunities to participate at one of our three Habitat Stores, construction sites, and our home repairs sites.
Membership
Each membership represents another person committed to the mission of Habitat SKKC through fundraising or volunteering. Every dollar of membership dues is a donation to Habitat SKKC’s mission of providing safe and affordable homeownership.
Fundraising
Each year, Habitat SKKC Young Professionals aims to raise money during Giving Tuesday and at our annual Build the HYP Fundraiser in support of affordable housing in the Puget Sound region.
Join a Committee
Our committees help our board members complete the chapter’s objectives through events, volunteering, or development.
Membership Dues and Benefits
HYP General Membership Dues: $15 monthly or $150 annually.

Meet Our Leadership Team
Lorraine Yerger
She/Her
President
Lorraine is a software engineer at Microsoft and has been on the HYP board since 2021. She loves recruiting new people to HYP Build Days, plus getting to know other regular HYP-ers. Outside of HYP she enjoys rock climbing and frisbee with her cattle dog, Frankie.
Pham Lam
He/Him
Vice President
Pham Lam is a commodity manager with Korry Electronics. Pham has been involved with Habitat since 2015 and helped build over 46 homes. Pham joined HYP in 2021 after moving to the Seattle area and brings experience in volunteer engagement.
Mercedes Gamor
General Board Member
Mercedes Gamor is the Talent & Culture Manager at Cochran, Inc. and the founder of local non-profit, Camp buildHER. She has volunteered with Habitat ABQ and Habitat SKKC over the years, helping facilitate company tool donations and Build Days, joining the HYP Board in 2021 and the Habitat SKKC Board in March 2023. Her childhood home is full of items from the local Habitat ReStore, from closet doors to plumbing fixtures, to door knobs!
Amy Euting
She/Her
General Board Member
Amy Euting is a Project Manager on the CBRE Move Team based in Redmond. Amy has been involved with Habitat SKKC since the summer of 2021. She has enjoyed planning engaging social events with her co-chair Hannah; and has especially enjoyed seeing the HYP network grow. In her free time, Amy enjoys live music, reading, and trying to meet every dog she can.
Clayton Sasaki
He/Him
General Board Member
Clayton is a PhD student in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington. He studies the organization of convective storms in Central Argentina. Clayton joined HYP when he moved to Seattle in 2019 and is excited to rejoin the board!
Felix Yoon
Interim Volunteer Chair
Felix, a mechanical engineer by education and strategist by trade, works in the energy sector for Walmart. He joined HYP to give back to the local Seattle community and to work with his hands. Rain or shine, Felix enjoys being outdoors (on build sites and in the mountains alike).
Kayla Shuster Sasaki
She/They
Advocacy Chair
Kayla serves as the Recruiter for Diversity & Access at the UW’s Allen School working with prospective freshman and transfer students from underrepresented backgrounds. They have been building with Habitat since they were 13 in New Jersey, and they are excited to continue that work here in Seattle!
