Introducing Our 2024 AmeriCorps!

AmeriCorps Class of 2023-2024

Andrea St. Martin

Construction Crew Leader – Repairs

Andrea graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a BA in architecture. Their interests in architecture, activism, and community building drew them towards Habitat for Humanity’s mission. This AmeriCorps program will be an opportunity to serve in the Pacific Northwest, an area they grew up in, and love deeply. They hope to learn more about affordable housing and what goes into building and maintaining homes.

After Habitat AmeriCorps, Andrea will either get a job or go to grad school. They are interested in the social impacts of architecture.

Erin Krauth

Construction Crew Leader – Repairs

Erin grew up in a small town in Northeastern Montana and attended Montana State University Billings, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance and a Master of Science in Athletic Training. During grad school, she was assigned rotations at local high schools and fell in love with the connection and community of high school athletics. She began working for Seattle Children’s in 2013 and held Athletic Trainer, Supervisor, and Program Manager positions. During her 10 years there, she oversaw the Athletic Training service contract for over 40 schools, including the Seattle Public Schools, the largest school district in the state. She grew to realize her passion for community involvement and advocacy through her work at the local schools and will be pursuing a law degree in the Fall of 2024. She is excited to be actively working in and improving local Seattle neighborhood homes with Habitat for Humanity. Erin and her partner, Chris, live in Ballard with their 3 cats and a dog. She is an avid runner and hiker and loves exploring the PNW.

Justin Holmes

Construction Crew Leader

Justin is serving with the Seattle chapter of Habitat for Humanity as an AmeriCorps member. He graduated in 2023 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science. Justin looks forward to connecting with and serving the Seattle community in a meaningful way.

Shaely Spilker

Construction Crew Leader – Repairs

Shaely graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2023 with four degrees – a BA in both Philosophy and Sociology, and an associate degree in both Communications and Leadership Studies – and will be serving as an AmeriCorps National member with HFH Seattle-King County. During her time at Seattle Pacific University, she worked in a variety of student leadership roles and rediscovered her passion for serving others and developing community leaders. Wanting to work in a service-focused role after graduating, Shaely applied for the AmeriCorps National program to serve in Seattle-King County in hopes of serving in her new community. Shaely is excited about the opportunity to continue to work with other passionate individuals who care about serving others, and she hopes to continue this work in the future.
