Our Homeowner Services team has been hard at work developing additional resources for deserving families throughout King County who are interested in learning more about becoming Habitat homeowner.
Historically, the team would host sessions throughout the community to provide information on the buyer selection criteria process and qualification requirements, but given the time and resources required to facilitate this, and now in consideration of the health and safety of all involved, a new website has launched and informational video produced. These new resources provide clear and comprehensive information and facilitate the application process much more easily.
The new website – buyhabitat.org – features available homes for sale and homes that are coming soon. The website also contains a link for those interested in applying to our Critical Repair program.
Said Mia Walterson, Habitat SKC’s Program Director, “In anticipation of Habitat’s ambitious five-year plan, including 170+ new homes coming onto the affordable housing market and completion of 200+ repair projects, we wanted to streamline the process and ensure every one that may be interested in a new home or repair project has the ability to easily access this information.“
The website also features a Google translator button, providing users with 100 different language options, given the diversity of those families in which Habitat serves.
