Pride Build

What is Pride Build?

Join Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties as we host our annual Pride Build, bringing local members of the LGBTQ+ community, organizations, and allies together in action to support Habitat’s programs and LGBTQ+ homeowners.

A history of systemic discrimination barred LGBTQ+ families and individuals from access to homeownership opportunities, and through Pride Build, we look forward to bringing our community together to raise awareness of the need for affordable housing for all, and it’s power to transform lives for the better.

Join us in June 8-15 as we learn, share, and build together, and to find out more about how you can help bring homeownership and affordable repairs to everyone in our community.

Volunteer

Pride Build extends a heartfelt invitation to the LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together and make a positive impact in our local neighborhoods. Engaging in a Pride Build project isn’t just an opportunity to gain and apply valuable skills, it’s a chance to build a stronger, more inclusive community.

Your involvement in Pride Build allows you to pay it forward, fostering the growth of families within the LGBTQ+ community and contributing to their journey toward strength, stability, and self-reliance. Let’s join hands to create a brighter future for all!

To be part of this year’s Pride Build, all you need to do is register! Login or create a volunteer account, and sign up for the exciting Pride Build events happening from June. 8-15. Together, let’s build a community that celebrates diversity, resilience, and unity.

Partnership Opportunities

Habitat for Humanity provides a unique opportunity for hardworking families to help build and buy their own homes, creating a pathway to homeownership. We work with Washington State Housing Finance Commission approved lenders to provide our homebuyers with an affordable mortgage. If the homebuyer cannot secure a mortgage for the full price of the home, Habitat for Humanity provides financing for the remaining amount.

Additionally, through our Home Repair Program, Habitat provides critical and minor home repairs that alleviate health and safety issues for qualified homeowners in King and Kittitas Counties.

We encourage members of the LGBTQ+ interested in either our homeownership or repairs to programs to learn more by visiting buyhabitat.org.
