As part of our continuing work to identify ways community members can join together to address our region’s housing crisis, we invited Seattle Chamber CEO Marilyn Strickland to lead a conversation in January for 75 loyal donors, staff and other interested stakeholders.

It was a lively discussion, with Marilyn addressing how the business community can positively affect housing, and how important it is that business owners come together in order focus on their employees and the impact a business can have on the communities in which it operates. If this is done well, Seattle businesses will be more profitable, more successful, and able to attract and retain talent.

She also shared insight from her work with the organization “Up for Growth,” which is an advocacy organization that works to influence policy to get more housing built across Washington State.
