Volunteer Spotlight: Ken Yu

Today we want to introduce Ken Yu, one of our “newer” regulars, but it feels like he’s been with us forever! Clocking right in at 300 hours served in just this past year Ken has been an invaluable part of the construction volunteer team at Lake City.

Ken’s patience and positivity while working with staff, AmeriCorps, volunteers, and partner families is inspiring. His dedication to give back to the community through volunteering with not only Habitat, but other organizations like the Low-Income Housing Institute and the Seattle Tool Library, is a true dedication to his character.

On behalf of the construction team, AmeriCorps, and Habitat Staff we want to thank you for your dedication to service at Habitat! We are honored to award Ken Yu our Construction Volunteer of the Year award and we look forward to many more good times!
