We are happy to announce that Mukilteo’s own KLB Construction was presented with the national Associated General Contractors of America’s (AGC) Community Award for its work with Habitat for Humanity Seattle – King County. The award recognizes service projects that epitomize the essence of charitable giving, and we couldn’t be more grateful for its incredible help building 10 new homes for families in need here in King County. Bill Grady, KLB’s General Manager, serves on the Board of Habitat for Seattle – King County and currently serves as VP of our Executive Committee.

KLB Construction helped develop our Sammamish Cottages project from beginning to end, first in securing permitting, then assisting with design reviews, and other work. Over the course of the entire four-year project, KLB provided more than 1,500 hours. The company’s contributions to the project ranged from site prep and the building stormwater treatment systems to wall construction and lot grading.
In all, KLB donated more than $300,000 in labor and equipment and an additional $122,500 in cash donations! More than two dozen KLB employees volunteered their time to help complete this development project in collaboration with Habitat. It is hard to overstate just how crucial that assistance was in our Sammamish construction. KLB Construction was an invaluable partner in finishing this housing project, homes that are now making a big difference in the lives of our Habitat homeowners.
Thank you and congratulations!
