Habitat for Humanity SKKC hosted our most successful fundraising events in Kittitas County to date with A Full House for Habitat Gala and the 15th Annual Give & Golf Tournament. Between the two events, we raised over $250,000 to build and preserve affordable housing in our community.
Held at Suncadia’s Rialto Ballroom and presented by Yakima Federal Savings & Loan, the A Full House for Habitat Gala brought together over 200 supporters for an evening of casino games, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and a lively wine pull. John Curley energized the room during the live auction, helping secure critical funds for Habitat’s mission.

Stephanie Bohman, Kittitas Area Director, shared in her Gala remarks, “At the corner of 3rd and Floral Avenue, we are preparing to build 13 permanently affordable homes—a game-changer for families earning $45,000–$60,000 in a market where the average home costs over $500,000. This work is about economic survival, community health, and keeping our local workforce in the towns they serve.”
Discussing Kittitas’s other build, the Stuart Meadows neighborhood, CEO Brett D’Antonio used part of his speech to imagine the people who will make these houses homes: “At that point, it will no longer be a work site. No longer the start of something. It will be something—a real neighborhood. A place where neighbors connect and share stories, where block parties light up summer evenings, and where children grow up playing outside with their friends. It will be a place of permanence, pride, and possibility. A place where first-time homeowners will not only receive keys but claim the future they’ve built—with their own hands.”

The next morning, golfers hit Suncadia’s Prospector and Rope Rider courses. The 15th Annual Give & Golf brought a day of fun competition, including Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and even 5-card stud on the green.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers, sponsors, and every supporter who gave their time and resources. These events were more than a fun reason to gather; they were an opportunity to create lasting impact for Kittitas families.
